About This Event

Discover a wild winter wonderland at Christmas at the Zoo, presented by Indiana Members Credit Union. Stroll through thousands of twinkling lights, visit with animals like arctic foxes and penguins, and enjoy festive treats. Meet Santa and his elves at Santa's Magic Cottage, explore the Festive Mirror Maze, and indulge in holiday cocktails. Special sensory-friendly evenings are also available.

Parking Information

Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Members park for free; nonmembers pay $10. Large vehicles are $20. An overflow parking lot on Harding Street with shuttle service is available on busy days. Electric vehicle charging stations are also available for a nominal fee.

Tips for Visiting

  • Consider attending on a weekday evening (Sunday-Thursday) for potentially shorter lines at attractions and Santa's Magic Cottage, as hours are 5-9pm compared to 5-10pm on weekends.
  • If you are an Indiana Members Credit Union member, bring your debit or digital card for potential front-of-line access to Santa's Magic Cottage on Monday-Thursday evenings.
  • Take advantage of the recycling program for old holiday lights; drop them off at the Visitor's Services Center to help the environment.
  • Check the Zoo's website for specific dates of live caroling performances on select Saturday nights to enhance your festive experience.
  • For a calmer experience, plan your visit on one of the two sensory-friendly evenings (December 3 & 17) which feature altered sound, smell, and lighting.
